They Love Us

Just wanted to show my continual thanks to Dr. Bredehoeft and his staff for all the services they provide. He is the best small animal vet I have met! He is ALWAYS helpful and nice & solves the issue ASAP. He always takes my calls or calls me back as soon as he can. He has even called me from his cell.

He is extremely intelligent & intuitive regarding all issues with my dogs. If it says anything I live 45 minutes from him & I make the effort to bring my 3 dogs there and have for years….and will as long as he is there. What a great guy!! His staff is always warm and friendly. Lana loves dogs so much and she is just wonderful to mine. She is so outgoing and friendly. The techs are always nice and listen intently. My dogs love everyone too. I just appreciate this place so much and can’t thank you all enough. Thank you for keeping your prices in line and showing concern in this regard for your patrons. The fact that Dr. B can diagnose so accurately in and of itself saves you money! Don’t ever change!!!

We cannot thank you enough for the excellent care you provided to our little Lily in early January. Her unexpected need for surgery and the depth of the procedure necessary to repair her “insides” was heart wrenching and the fact that we could have lost her is scary – but with your skill and knowledge of what needed to be done to help her, she made it through and is now back to her spunky, happy self!

We also want to thank your wonderful staff for the medical and support care they provided. It was difficult for us not being able to see her and hold her and reassure her, but we feel sure your staff did that for us and Lily loves them for the gentle care and genuine concern.
Lilly is a part of our family, and we are glad she received the quality of medical care you all provided so that she could return to her family and resume her happy and hopefully long life with us!

Can you imagine what it would be like if our pets could tell us what they think about the veterinarian we have chosen? In my case, they did just that!

We moved to Fruit Cove in 2000 and used a veterinarian known and recommended by our pets’ doctor in Alabama. And although the quality of care appeared to be good, my dogs never seemed to be happy and often returned from boarding sick. Our new friends and neighbors recommended Dr. B and Switzerland Animal Hospital. One day I decided to just drop by without dogs to meet and interview the doctor. Unfortunately, it was Dr. B’s day off, but the receptionist graciously gave me a tour of the clinic and made an appointment for my then injured dog. When I finally did meet Dr. B, I knew this was the place for us.

Not only have we received exceptional care at a reasonable cost, but my dogs (two that are in doggie heaven and the two we have now), are consistently happy about coming to the hospital. Every staff member is a friend according to my dogs, who bound through the doors with tails wagging and tongues flying. I learned a valuable lesson in 2000; our pets really can tell us what they think. It’s our job to be smart enough to figure out exactly what they are trying to tell us.

Our baby girl (age 7-8) had to have her teeth cleaned. This meant that she had to go under and spend the day at the vet. I didn't sleep at all the night before! She is my angel. With that said, Dr. Mike kept us updated every step of the way. Ms. Lisa and all of the other staff members were so kind and promised to take good care of her. She had surgery yesterday, and Dr. Mike has personally called to check on her 3 times. I can't say enough about how impressed we are with the compassion and love everyone at Switzerland Animal Hospital shows to their clients' fur babies. Highly, highly recommend.

Switzerland has always taken care of our dogs. They are always wonderful with the dogs and us too! Our experiences over the years have been nothing but terrific.

These people run the best animal hospital. They are priced around the same as other animal hospitals in duval county but offer amazing care. They identified a problem with Pam by stool sample testing and were quick to administer medication and stop a problem before getting worse. If my 4 month old cat loves it here you will too. They even got a cat right next to the computer at the check in desk. Dr B and Cunningham know their stuff and really do care about animals.

Have been the veterinarian pet care for all our dogs. Staff is friendly and caring. The veterinarians are knowledgable and compassionate providers that have the best interest in your pets health.

I generally don't post reviews, but this place has blown me away with their service. We recently switched to this animal hospital in the last year after being with our previous Vet for 13 years. We went for a second opinion and were so impressed we decided to stay. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating every time I've gone in or phoned. They are extremely responsive to any questions, and the follow up is outstanding. We've even received phone calls to check up on our puppy after an ER visit after hours. This was truly impressive as the ER was an entirely separate facility. All this aside, the most impressive piece is how much they truly care about your animal's well being and experience. The doctors and staff have consistently gone out of their way to make sure all our pets' visits are positive and as least stressful as possible. I'm so glad we found this vet and will be staying with them for a long time.

My entire experience from the very beginning was great at SAH. My senior dog was having a hard time getting around, and they got her records from my previous vet, and fit me in to be seen the very next day. Upon arrival the staff was very welcoming and friendly. I didn’t have to wait very long at all to taken back into our own room. The techs and the Dr. not only made my dog feel comfortable, but they also spent time with her (and me), and explained/showed me everything that was going on. I really felt like they cared and were very thorough compared to my last vet. I’m happy to say I found my new permanent vet!!

I have been taking my many fur companions (dogs and cats) to Dr. Bredehoeft for over 30 years. First when he was an associate at a large animal hosp. and now at his own clinic. My son, who was a vet tech for 10+ years , worked with him primarily and has always told me that Dr. Bredehoeft was the best surgeon he has ever worked with. He has performed detailed annual examination, to giving good everyday maintenance and helpful advise, to extensive teeth cleaning and removals, to amputations for us and always beautiful work with good results. His staff have always been very friendly and willing to answer any questions asked of them with a smile. I have always recommended Dr. Bredehoeft for his excellent medical knowledge & abilities with surgery, friendly mannerism and never rushed attitude and will continue to do so.

Love Switzerland Animal Hospital! They've cared for our 3 cats as if they were their own. Easy to schedule an appointment and same day care available for emergencies. Both veterinarians are wonderful at what they do and obviously have a passion for it.

Switzerland Animal Hospital has such a pleasant staff, that greets you with a smile. I also feel that my pups receive thorough care and attention with all their health needs from the doctors Dr. C. Cunningham and Dr Bredehoeft. It's a real comfort to me, to see how much they all love all the pets and people that walk through their doors.

We love this place! Cooper (yellow lab/golden mix) is always treated like a king when he arrives. The staff dotes on the him and really tries to make him feel at home and welcomed! The girls up front go above and beyond to help out in any way they can. I almost don't want to say this, because I'm sure it's not normal practice, but one Saturday my dog was low on meds and wouldn't make it through the weekend. I called to get his meds refilled. Not only did they refill immediately, but it was also at closing time and one of the staff members dropped off his meds on her way home!!! Omg who does that? Switzerland Animal Hospital...that's who! We wouldn't go anywhere else!!

These guys are fantastic! From the first time I called and wanted to know "the baby's name" to when I called this morning in tears, they have always put my mind at ease. My German Shepherd is not a fan of the vet and they have never held it against him. Wonderful staff, wonderful vets and techs and I recommend them to everyone.
