We offer state-of-the-art digital radiography (X-ray). Radiographs are extremely helpful in diagnosing and monitoring many medical and surgical problems. They help us locate tumors and foreign bodies, fractures, and arthritic lesions. They detect heart and lung disease, gastrointestinal problems, and bladder stones. They also allow us to perform contrast studies of the intestinal and urinary tract to detect more difficult problems.

Our referral specialist, Dr. Janina Bartels, performs ultrasounds and echocardiograms. These enable us to visualize the surface and inner structures of organs. This provides us with a visual map of the body and becomes a crucial tool when diagnosing diseases of the:

Laboratory Testing and Diagnostics

Switzerland Animan Hospital is equipped with a complete laboratory. It provides us with invaluable information critical to acute sick and injured patients and those undergoing anesthesia. Results are available within minutes. If your pet requires specialized testing, we have access to an outside referral lab.
